Fundraising Quiz - £567 raised

Thanks to all who came to the quiz. You managed to raise £567 for my trip to Borneo including entries to the quiz.

We had 8 teams with 6 people each. The rounds were as follows:

Round 1 Famous Couples (Picture Round)

Round 2 General Knowledge

Round 3 Books and Animals

Round 4 Film and TV

Round 5 Where in the World?

HEADS AND TAILS (Optional extra mini quiz with 50/50 questions)

BREAK

Round 6 Sport

Round 7 Science

Round 8 Maps (Picture Round)

Round 9 Food and Drink

Round 10 Which Animal? (excerpts of animal noises to identify)

Here is an example of the Heads and Tails questions:

Bridges:
Heads if your think that there are more bridges over the Seine in the city of Paris;
Tails if you think that there are more bridges over the Thames in Greater London.

Anyone wanting to take part in the Heads and Tails round paid £2 a head. Everyone taking part stood up, if they thought the answer was Heads, put their hands on their heads and if they thought the answer was tails, put their hands on their bottoms. They sat down if they got the answer wrong and the last one standing wins. We ended up with a winner after 5 questions (the question above). Karen was the winner in the end of Heads and Tails.

In addition to the quiz, we had a raffle (where we sold tickets for £1), cake sale (in return for a donation), Heads and Tails round (£2 a head), entry into the calendar prize draw (£2 a date).
